The Croatian Tourist Board surveyed county and regional tourist boards to see how many people they expect to visit Croatia during Easter.
They predict that around 160,000 people will arrive and 550,000 people will stay overnight by April 10, 2023.
Kristjan Staničić, director of the Croatian Tourist Board, said that they are happy with the number of tourists so far and expect an increase of about 8% in arrivals and 5% in overnight stays during Easter compared to last year. This would be a great start to the spring and summer tourist season.
Most of the tourists are expected to stay on the coast, with about 490,000 overnight stays in the Adriatic counties. Istria and Kvarner are expected to have the highest tourist traffic.
The majority of guests will come from the domestic market, as well as neighbouring and nearby countries such as Germany, Austria, Slovenia, Italy, and others.
