STEMM Competition for Australian Croatian Diaspora Youth is announced

After a successful launch in 2022, the Victorian Croatian Chamber of Commerce (VCCC), together with the Croatian Central State Office for Croats Abroad, is pleased to again offer their program for Australian Croatian Diaspora Youth to present their STEMM research and create connections.
The program is about building networks and linking our Diaspora Youth with Croatian Professors, Academics and Businesses to start developing their connections and opportunities for their brighter futures in STEMM.
It will run over 3 months and participants will present a short summary of their preferred topic to the judges. During this time, the VCCC is working with Croatian Businesses and Professors to share their stories and build connections and opportunities for our youth.
All participants that complete the competition, receive a participation certificate with prizes awarded for the best entries.
Last year’s program provided our talented participants with exclusive access to our accomplished experts, including Distinguished Professors Frances Separovic and Ivan Marusic, to discuss and explore careers in STEMM through their connection of Croatian heritage.
It concluded with a celebration awards ceremony at the Croatian Consulate General Melbourne and a private tour of the Australian Synchrotron.

The feedback from our participants was the program enabled them to confidently build a network for their futures and realise how important this was in creating opportunities for themselves.
