A bus producing factory in Sesvete Kraljevac, just outside the capital Zagreb, will have their hands full for the next few years after signing a 10-year agreement on Tuesday with an Iraqi company.
AZ Crobus has agreed to deliver 2,000 buses in the first five years of the deal, which is worth 2.1 billion kuna (280 million euros), with Iraqi company Debel-Co. Director Pavao Zubak hopes that the cooperation, which took over a year and a half to negotiate, is the start of a long-term relationship. AZ Crobus was formed in 2006 and has now become the first Croatian exporting bus brand. Zubak says that the deal means over 300 Croatian companies, who are involved in the production of the buses, will benefit from the deal.
