Four Croatian olive oils named among the 100 best in the world
The highly anticipated EVOOLEUM guide has been published, revealing the 100 best extra virgin olive oils from around the world.
Organized by Mercacei and the Spanish Association of Olive Producing Municipalities, the EVOOLEUM guide is highly respected and transparent, making it one of the most reputable publications in the world.
The guide, which has been in publication for over 28 years, recognises world class oil producers and among the top 100 this year are four Croatian olive oils.
Among the Croatian olive oil producers, Mate Bianca Belleza received the highest number of points on the list, with a score of 94 and was declared the best from Croatia.
San Antonio’s mix received 89 points, and Oio Viva’s olive oil from Vodnjan earned 87 points.
Also on the list of top 10 extra virgin olive oils from around the world that are produced in limited edition, the Exclusive Selection olive oil from the Vodnjan producer Brist made the list with 93 points.
“EVOOLEUM is one of the most respectable and transparent olive oil guides and competitions in the world and we are proud to be present in it, representing our country and region among big players like Italy, Spain and Greece. We are sharing the highest score of the competition with three producers from Spain and Italy! I am so proud of our little hard working family and especially of my father Silvano, whose care, knowledge and passion for olive growing deserves such an award,” Brist said on their Instagram page.

The top 100 olive oils are chosen by a panel of experts, and the guide is published once a year in 10,000 copies. The publication contains additional information about each oil on the list, and the EVOOLEUM application is also available for those interested.
The EVOOLEUM guide plays an essential role in recognising the efforts of olive oil producers worldwide, and being included in the list of the top 100 is a great achievement.
