A celebration of top Croatian sparkling wines and strawberries in Plešivica

Plešivica, a beautiful region in Croatia, is all set to host its annual Sparkling Wine and Strawberry Festival – Festival pjenušaca & jagoda.

Imagine a picturesque spring day surrounded by greenery, soft music playing in the background, and a glass of paired with juicy strawberries. It’s not just a dream but a reality that can be experienced at the Sparkling Wine and Strawberry Festival which is scheduled to take place on May 27th and 28th at Plešivica wineries.

The festival features 12 wineries, along with Hotel Princess, where you can indulge in a glass of champagne that will excite and enchant your taste buds.

You can enjoy homemade strawberries from members of the “Strawberry Ring,” an association of producers from the Zagreb County, at a promotional price.

Plešivica is known for producing some of the best Croatian sparking wines. The region’s wineries are situated on beautiful hills, and every drop of sweat, effort, and passion is invested in the quality of wine and sparkling wines.

The hosts, the Plešivica winemakers, are ready to welcome you into their courtyards and cellars to share the results of their year-round work.

The festival offers sparkling wines from popular wineries such as Dobra berba, Gregorić, Griffin Ivančić, Ivan Ivančić, Jagunić, Kolarić Coletti, Korak, Kurtalj, Sirovica, Šember, Tomac & Bajda, Vinogradarska kuća Braje, and Hotel Princess. For the first time, visitors can also visit the strawberry fields of local producer OPG Damir Gregorić.

However, the festival is not just about sparkling wine and strawberries. The wineries offer a diverse range of food options, with strawberries being the star of the show. Visitors can taste unique sparkling wines, enjoy music, and take a walk through the vineyards from 11 am to 10 pm. The fun doesn’t end there; after the festival, the hospitality facilities in the city will provide good entertainment.

For those who enjoy an extra glass of sparkling wine, transportation by vintage cars is available. The starting point is in the Erdödy Castle park, and the timetable will be announced later.

The Tourist Board of the city of Jastrebarsko, with the support of the City of Jastrebarsko, is organizing the event. The sponsor of this year’s festival is Jana. So, mark your calendars and head to Plešivica for a perfect day of champagne, strawberries, and fun.
