Emma Filipović, a 14-year-old girl of Croatian descent from Vienna, has won the German version of the reality talent show ‘The Voice Kids’.
More than four million people watched Friday’s final, and Emma wowed the audience with her rendition of Eminem’s “Lose Yourself.”
Even Eminem himself liked a video of her performance on social media.
“I sometimes feel like I’m dreaming all of this,” said Emma, who had already won over the audience in the “blind auditions” at the start of the show.
Within 30 seconds, she “forced” the judges to press the red buttons and turn around towards her, earning huge cheers. The cheerful long-haired girl in a pink hoodie and baggy jeans ruled the Berlin studio that day and received millions of positive comments on social media.
Emma’s grandmother Ana and grandfather Miro are spending the warmer months in their family home in Selce in Croatia, where they received congratulations from all sides all day long, daily Jutarnji list said.
Emma’s victory is a testament to her talent and hard work. She captured the hearts of millions of viewers and judges with her impressive singing and stage presence, and her triumph is well-deserved. We can only expect great things from her in the future.
This was the 11th season of The Voice Kids in Germany and the coaches this season were Álvaro Soler, Michi and Smudo, Lena Meyer-Landrut, and Wincent Weiss.
