Zagreb, June 5, 2023 – The English band Morcheeba is bringing their greatest hits to the newly-opened Small Roman Theatre in Pula on Sunday, July 2, 2023.
The beautiful new concert venue in Pula will be a splendid location for one of the world’s most recognised bands and a local favourite. The Small Roman Theatre will host Skye and Ross, who will showcase a career retrospective of Morcheeba, as well as their own signature style.
The Small Roman Theatre, which is one of the largest and most significant ancient monuments of the city of Pula, opened last month after a big restoration project. Until about ten years ago, it was used as one of the main city places for cultural activities, but due to damage that was stopped.
Over the course of almost three decades, Morcheeba has established itself as one of the most recognisable bands in music history. What began for Morcheeba in 1995 in London with the breakthrough of trip-hop and their debut EP “Trigger Hippie” marked the path towards international success.
Their debut album “Who Can You Trust?”, one of the most critically acclaimed, as well as its successors like “Big Calm” or “Fragments of Freedom” and “Charango,” produced numerous global hits such as “Rome Wasn’t Built in a Day,” “The Sea,” “Trigger Hippie,” “Undress Me Now,” and “Part Of The Process.” They have released a total of ten albums so far, with the latest being “Blackest Blue,” which the critics praise as exceptional and fresh.
By blending elements of trip-hop, alternative rock, R&B, and downtempo, Morcheeba has become one of the most renowned global bands with their musical narrative spanning genres from the 90s onwards. Throughout their impressive career, they have garnered a legion of fans worldwide, and they have shown great dedication to their fans in Croatia.
Early bird tickets are available for €35 in advance, and on the day of the concert, tickets will be priced at €40. Tickets can be purchased at all Eventim outlets, as well as on www.eventim.hr.
The concert is organised by the Archaeological Museum of Istria.
