Only Cucumbers Drop As Prices Continue To Surge In Supermarkets

Wages may not have increased in Croatia in the last 12 months, but the same can not be said about food prices. Portal Supermarket.info have analysed grocery prices over the last year and it is not good news for households.
June 2013 prices of over 80 articles on supermarket shelves, including standard items such as butter, flour, sugar, oil, yoghurt, shampoo and milk, were compared with prices from June 2012, with 79 out of the 80 going up considerably in price. Only one product – cucumbers – falling in price over the last 12 months. Some of the biggest increases were felt with – carrots 63%, flour 53%, eggs 51%, salami 38%, yoghurt 35%, shampoo 26% and toothpaste 21%.
