ZAGREB, 11 July (Hina) – The state-of-the-art factory for artisan ice creams will soon be opened in the Croatian city of Ogulin, the Večernji List (VL) daily newspaper reported on Sunday, calling the plant “the biggest factory of handcrafted ice creams in the world”.
The 4,500-square-metre plant will enable the production of 15 tonnes of natural ice cream daily, says the newspaper.
Also, it will be open to visitors to get an insight into the manufacturing natural ice creams.
The factory will be run by aROMA Gelato Experience, a company which has already 50 shops in Croatia.
The story of the important Ogulin project began in Slovenia, in the suburbs of Ljubljana, exactly ten years ago when the spouses Tjaša and Primož Ogrizek decided to create the first ice cream by themselves, practically in their garage.
It was important for them to make it from natural ingredients, without any artificial flavours and ingredients, from fruits that they got in their area.
They have been guided by this idea all the time, and in a decade of experience and work they have created a recognisable brand, the company aROMA Gelato Experience, which is widely known as a producer of handmade artisanal ice cream made from natural ingredients that they sell in their boutiques in Croatia.

The plant has already about 30 workers.
