Croatian studio wins Golden Drum award for wine project

The project “It’s Time for Your Time,” conceived by Croatian Studio Tumpić/Prenc for the limited edition Teran Barrique wine from Franc Arman’s vineyard, has won a silver award at this year’s edition of the prestigious Golden Drum competition.
For decades, the Golden Drum festival has had a significant impact on the development of the creative, marketing, and advertising industries in Europe. This celebration of creativity honours the best ideas, teams, and individuals who have made their mark in the industry – or as they put it, “those who have breathed life into a great idea.”
This year, there has been a notable increase in submissions from around the world, and among the best, the silver-winning project “It’s Time for Your Time” from Studio Tumpić/Prenc stood out.
This project, already recognised with awards, underscores the importance of patience. In a time when we live at a fast pace, this project encourages us to slow down.
Just as the wine-making process requires a lot of effort, work, and time, the wine itself needs time to fully mature. That’s precisely why the creatives at Studio Tumpić/Prenc have sealed this premium wine in a box, and from the moment it’s opened, the buyer is presented with 28 carefully crafted messages about oenology, the history of the Arman family, the wine production process, and the wine’s characteristics.
These messages are delivered through an application accessible via a QR code on the box. They are designed to acquaint wine enthusiasts with the beauties and peculiarities of winemaking so that they, too, can “mature” until the crucial moment – the opening of the bottle. At the end of this educational journey, the application sends a code that allows the owner of Terran Barrique to open their premium box, where they will be greeted with the message, “It’s Time for Your Time,” because time is the key.
Representatives of the Studio received their award during a gala evening as part of the festival, which this year returned to its roots in the Slovenian town of Portorož. In addition to the award itself, the Studio was named the second-best agency in the region during the official ceremony. “Adriatic Agency of the Year” is a special award based on the festival’s scoring system for the most successful entries from the countries of the Adriatic region.
“We are delighted to receive this award for a project that is particularly dear to us. We have invested a lot of effort in it, so it’s great to see it recognised by the industry,” the Studio representatives said.
To bring this project to life, many collaborators played a significant role: Delta Reality for designing the application, Botonega for the box realization, and Etikgraf for the label realization, as well as Abeceda komunikacije for organizing the product presentation.
