Movie about life of Dražen Petrović wraps in USA

After seven weeks of filming, in New Jersey, USA, the shooting of the feature film “Nešto jače od mene (Something Stronger Than Me) – The Story of Dražen Petrović” has concluded.
The film is directed by Danilo Šerbedžija, and produced by Ljubo Zdjelarević and Ivor Šiber.
Shot in Šibenik, Zagreb, Jersey, and New York, the narrative explores the significant phases of the life of basketball player Dražen Petrović, from his childhood and upbringing in Šibenik to the tragic death in a car accident in 1993.
The main roles in the film are portrayed by Domagoj Nižić and Romina Tonković, with supporting cast members including Zrinka Cvitešić, Tonko Stošić, Lovre Tanfara, Dragan Mićanović, Victoria Hauer, Pavle Matuško, Filip Mayer, Vini Juričić, Mile Kekin, Valentin Perković, Ivica Zadro, and others.
“We have reached the end of one phase of our journey, full of challenges, and we want to thank all the state and city institutions that supported us during the filming in Croatia and the USA. Also, thanks to the kind residents of Šibenik, Zagreb, and Jersey, and the local communities that warmly welcomed us. However, our deepest gratitude goes to every member of the Croatian and American crew who contributed to the making of our film. Their passion, dedication, and effort made this project special. We thank them for the incredible experience. The post-production phase is next, and we plan to complete the film by the fall of 2024,” said the producers after the completion of filming.
The project’s authors and film producers are Ljubo Zdjelarević and Ivor Šiber, directed by Danilo Šerbedžija, written by Ivan Turković Krnjak, with Ante Cvitanović as the director of photography, Ivo Knezović as the production designer, and Željka Franulović and Ana Kala Kovačević as costume designers. Bianka Prskalo is the makeup artist.
It is a production of Kinoteka (Croatia), in co-production with December Production (Slovenia), Living Pictures (Serbia), and RTG Pictures (USA).
The film is supported by, among others, the Croatian Audiovisual Centre, the Slovenian Film Centre, the Film Centre of Serbia, the Croatian Radiotelevision, the City of Šibenik, the City of Zagreb, the Zagreb Tourist Board, and others, under the patronage of the Croatian Olympic Committee.
