Split Man Sentenced To 15 Years Prison For Mexican Tourist Murder

A 29-year-old unemployed Split man has been found guilty of the murder of 31-year-old Mexican tourist Selena Graciano Macedo in a Split court on Thursday afternoon.

Edi Misic, who pleaded not guilty to the charge, was found guilty after a trial in the Dalmatian city and sentenced to 15 years in prison for Macedo’s brutal murder. Macedo was reported missing on 22 August 2012 by her brother whilst the pair were holidaying in Croatia, after an intensive search Macedo’s body was found in a ditch on Marjan hill four days later.
