One Czech tourist is dead and another is missing after the pair went for a hike up the Biokovo mountain range in Croatia.
Croatian Mountain Rescue Service found the body of a 50-year-old Czech national on Friday afternoon on Biokovo above Zivogosce on the Dalmatian coast, just hours after he set off for his hike on Friday morning, whilst the search for his 47-year-old countryman who set off on Thursday continues. The cause of death will not be confirmed until after an autopsy is carried out on the body, reports daily Slobodna Dalmacija. The Croatian Mountain Rescue Service say that this season they have been called out to 25% more rescues.
