The Croatian Football Federation presented the new Nike kits of the Croatian national football team on Monday afternoon in the Croatian capital.
The Vatreni will wear the new kits for the next two years, including the upcoming EURO 2024 in Germany in June and July.
The home and away kits were unveiled at an event hosted by City Center one East in Zagreb, featuring performances by Tiho Orlić and Opća opasnost.
Croatian players joined them on stage in the new kits, adorned in the new kits, much to the delight of the excited fans.
The youngest fans were particularly thrilled, welcoming their idols with ovations and mingling with the Vatreni, all while eagerly collecting coveted autographs and snapping a few “selfies” for eternal memories.
Players thoughts
“I’m glad to see so many people here, especially children. It fits perfectly with the fantastic atmosphere during this gathering before our participation in the international tournament in Cairo, where we’ll have our first tests before the European Championship in Germany. The new kits are fantastic, among the most beautiful we’ve had,” said defender Martin Erlić.
“It’s lovely to have our fans here to support us; it gives us extra strength to perform well in these friendly matches and then at the Euros. In Egypt, as always, we aim to leave a good impression, to show everyone what we’re capable of. Although the result isn’t the top priority, we aim for victories to boost our confidence. The new kit is excellent, even more beautiful in person than in photos. I can’t wait to play in it. Home or away kit? Both are fantastic; it’s hard for me to choose,” remarked winger Marko Pjaca.
“Every new kit is unique. When I saw the photos, I wondered what they’d be like in person, but they’re truly special and very beautiful,” said Josip Juranović.
“I am immensely proud to have had the privilege of wearing the Croatian kit the most times, but I always look forward to a new set that follows our recognisable pattern.
The Croatian checkers make our jersey unique, especially the home kit this time with its large red and white squares, and I must admit that I am extremely pleased when I see this new shirt live.
Captain Modrić and his 9th new Croatia kit
I also like the attractive design of the reserve jersey which, thanks to its angled squares, takes me back to 1998 and the legendary Vatreni who became an inspiration to many young footballers, including myself,” said the captain of the Croatian national team, Luka Modrić, for whom this is the ninth new kit since he first played for the national team.
The new kits are available for pre-order from March 18 at 7:00 PM in the official online store of the HNS (shop.hns.family or the official iOS/Android application), with deliveries starting from March 21. They will be exclusively available at Sport Vision stores from March 21.
