From May 27th to June 2nd, visitors will be able to enjoy over 35 types of pizza, creative cocktails, a quiz, silent cinema, and painting workshops, all accompanied by a daily themed music program.
Starting next Monday, May 27th, Strossmayer Square in Zagreb will transform into “a little slice of paradise” as the third Pizza Festival Zagreb arrives.
This year’s festival features 11 booths, nine of which will showcase the best of their culinary creations. Central Bar will offer chilled Staropramen beer and a rich selection of premium wines, spirits, and juices, while Gingle Bells will serve their signature cocktails.
Whether you love Neapolitan, Roman, Sicilian, fried, or Margherita pizzas, you’ll find your favourite at one of these passionate pizza makers, including Al Dente, Pizza Re, Pizza Social Club, RougeMarin, Zagyland, Picnic & Poma Food Boutique, Tutto Passa, Pizza Fritta, and Oui Chef on Wheels.
To enhance the authentic Italian atmosphere, Ozren Kanceljak has curated a music program with daily performances from DJs and themed evenings such as Felicità, Penso Positivo, and Pizza Boogie.
Throughout the week, there will also be silent cinema, the popular Pinelli & Vino painting workshops, and themed quiz by Ribafish, who gained immense interest at the Asian Street Food Festival. This is an ideal opportunity for family fun, a romantic date, or a solo adventure, as pizza is one of those rare delights that can unite and uplift everyone.
The organisers of the event ate from the creative agency Kokoš ili jaje, who recently thrilled many visitors with the Asian Street Food Festival at the same venue, promise more than 35 types of Italian delicacies at the festival.
Visitors can expect contemporary Neapolitan pizzas from Al Dente, crispy Roman-style pizzas from Pizza Social Club, and a taste of Sicily from RougeMarin’s carefully crafted offerings.
Picnic and Poma Food Boutique will join forces again, with Poma bringing their popular sourdough sandwiches and Picnic offering specially crafted cocktails.
Pizza Fritta will return with their deep-fried calzone pizzas, and Pizza Re will present their beloved Neapolitan classics. Tutto Passa will serve Roman-style pizzas, while Bread Club’s sourdough crusts will feature enticing toppings. Zagyland will make its debut with two special pizzas representing the Zagorje region.
Oui Chef on Wheels will ensure the festival is a true ode to Italy with Chef Vedran Stojanac’s Pasta on Wheels.
