The first domestic Croatian flight service in over a decade and a half from the northern Adriatic port city of Rijeka is set to become operational this week.
Every Friday Zagreb airline company Trade Air will fly on the route Rijeka – Split – Dubrovnik till the end of the summer season. Trade Air says that there are plans to increase the number of flights.
“This is the first domestic airline to fly from Rijeka after a decade and a half, and we are especially pleased. I hope that the frequency of flights increases due to high interest from tour operators in this service,” said the director of Rijeka airport. The Zagreb-based charter carrier entered the scheduled sector in Croatia after winning a Croatian government tender recently.
