Volotea, a low-cost airline specialising in routes between small and medium-sized European cities, has launched a new connection from Naples to the Croatian city of Split.
The inaugural flight took off today, Friday, May 31, from Naples Capodichino Airport.
This new route will operate twice a week, on Tuesdays and Fridays. With this addition, Volotea now offers a total of 22 destinations from its Naples hub, including six domestic and 16 international routes.
The new service significantly reduces travel time between Naples and Split and is expected to facilitate travel for both Italian and Croatian tourists, enhancing access to the attractions of Naples and the broader Campania region.
In addition to Volotea’s new connection, other airlines are also enhancing Split’s connectivity this summer. LOT Polish Airlines has introduced a new route from Warsaw to Split.
Croatia Airlines has launched direct flights between Split and Istanbul, operating three times a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays until mid-October.
This summer season, Croatia Airlines will connect Split Airport to a total of 21 international destinations across 22 airports, including major cities such as Amsterdam, Athens, Vienna, Berlin, Bucharest, Dublin, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, Istanbul, Copenhagen, London (Gatwick and Heathrow), Lyon, Milan, Munich, Oslo, Paris, Prague, Rome, Skopje, Stockholm, and Zurich.
