The Croatian football side will play South Korea in Seoul on 10 September, it was announced by the Croatian FA on Thursday.
The friendly match in South Korea will be played in the FIFA window after the World Cup qualifier against Serbia, and will act as the return match after the two sides met in London in February. “We are glad that we have agreed a date for a new match with South Korea, with whom we have good experience in friendlies matches. The Koreans are always correct opponents, and with the Croatian team being very popular in that country it is another opportunity to promote Croatian football outside of Europe,” said the President of the Croatian FA Davor Suker. Croatia thumped South Korea 4:0 in their last meeting at Fulham’s Craven Cottage in February.
