Pag Cheese Voted Best in The World at International Awards in the UK

A Croatian cheese from Kolan on the Adriatic island of Pag has beaten 4,285 cheeses to be voted the best sheep milk cheese in the world at the International Cheese Awards held in Nantwich, England.
Well-known experts from the dairy industry, including British and Italian TV celebrity chefs James Martin and Gino D’Acampo, Italian have selected Gligora ”Paski sir” (Gligora Pag cheese) as the absolute winner and named it the best cheese from sheep milk in the world at one of the oldest and largest cheese awards.
“We had altogether 4,286 cheeses in total, which is a record, and the standard was extremely high,” said host Richard Paul, adding that Gligora Pag’s gold medal meant that consumers could be sure that the Croatian cheese was the finest cheese voted by experts.
