How Croatians abroad can access funds for cultural projects

The Croatian State Office for Croats Abroad has opened its second public call for project funding in 2024, offering financial support to initiatives that strengthen ties with Croats living outside the Republic of Croatia.

The initiative aims to strengthen ties and cooperation between Croatia and its global diaspora.

It focuses on preserving and reinforcing national identity, protecting the rights and interests of Croatian communities abroad, and safeguarding the Croatian language, cultural heritage, and artistic expression.

The programme also seeks to promote cultural unity among Croatians and provide assistance to vulnerable individuals from the Croatian diaspora, including those returning or immigrating from Croatian communities abroad. 

Before preparing and submitting their applications, all applicants are encouraged to carefully read the Application Guidelines.

These guidelines provide essential details on how to complete the e-application form, the submission process, deadlines, and contacts for additional support regarding the public call.

The deadline for submitting applications, both electronically and in paper form, is 30 days from the announcement date, ending on 7th November 2024.

Applications may be submitted by associations, foundations, institutions, religious communities, or other legal entities of Croats abroad and in Croatia, as well as individuals and socially vulnerable Croats in the diaspora and returnees/immigrants from abroad.
