The trailer has been released for the British series The Day of the Jackal, which was partly filmed in Croatia.

Based on the 1971 novel of the same name by Frederick Forsyth, The Day of the Jackal stars Academy Award-winner Eddie Redmayne in the lead role.

Part of the series was filmed at various locations in Croatia during the autumn of 2023, with production services provided by Ambasada Film.

The filming of The Day of the Jackal in Croatia took place over 35 days in autumn 2023, with scenes shot in Zagreb, Rijeka, Opatija, Lovran, Labin, Vrsi, and the island of Pag.

The project involved 177 Croatian crew members, 487 extras, and 9 trainees.

The production services were provided by Ambasada Film as part of the state-supported Filming in Croatia Programme, managed by the Croatian Audiovisual Centre.

The series is set in a modern political landscape and follows a ruthless British assassin, known only as “The Jackal” (Eddie Redmayne), and an agent, Bianca (Lashana Lynch), who is tasked with finding him.

She is determined to complete her mission, regardless of the heavy losses she faces across Europe.

Directed by Brian Kirk, the series also stars Úrsula Corberó, Charles Dance, Richard Dormer, Chukwudi Iwuji, Lia Williams, Khalid Abdalla, Eleanor Matsuura, Jonjo O’Neill, and Sule Rimi. The Day of the Jackal will debut on 7th November, with the first of ten episodes available on SkyShowtime, HAVC said.
