Croatian city on list of cities more charming in winter

In a recent accolade that shines a spotlight on Croatia’s winter allure, one of its cities has been named among the “29 European Cities That Are Even More Charming in Winter” by the renowned Condé Nast Traveler magazine.
This list, curated by the award-winning travel publication, highlights cities, and some villages, across Europe that transform into magical destinations during the colder months.
Zagreb, with its rich history, picturesque streets, and festive atmosphere, has captured the hearts of both travellers and experts alike, earning its place as a must-visit winter wonderland.
“With its cobbled streets, old city quarter, and baroque architecture, Zagreb has everything you would expect from a Central European capital—plus a few extra-special perks come wintertime,” Condé Nast Traveler writes, before continuing.
“The city erupts with yuletide cheer during its annual Advent in Zagreb festival, complete with 25 Christmas markets, ice skating rinks, and glittering lights galore. Fill up on homemade sausages and brandy.”
Joining Zagreb on the list of cities more charming in winter, include, Bergen in Norway, Zermatt in Switzerland and the French city of Strasbourg.
