Croatian-American cast in new De Niro Netflix series Zero Day

Netflix is set to premiere its highly anticipated new TV mini-series, Zero Day, early next year on February 20, 2025.

The political thriller is from creators Eric Newman, Noah Oppenheim & Michael S. Schmidt and directed by Lesli Linka Glatter.

It delves into the intricacies of global crises and personal resilience, with a cast that includes Robert De Niro, Angela Bassett, Jesse Plemons, Bill Keogh, Lise Chapman, Cody Brighton, and Clark Gregg as Robert Linden.

The cast also includes Marinko Radakovic, an accomplished American-Croatian actor, who takes on the role of “Vlasto”, a key character in the narrative.

De Niro stars as George Mullen, an former U.S. president leading an investigation into a crippling cyberattack. As he uncovers the truth, Mullen faces buried secrets and political deception.

Born in Zagreb, Radakovic moved to the United States in the 1990s and is a dual citizen. His multilingual expertise and diverse career experiences add authenticity to his on-screen presence and enhance his portrayal of complex characters.

With a diverse and impressive acting resume that includes appearances in “Succession”,” Billions”, “House of Cards”, and The” Night Agent Season 2, Radakovic brings his unique charisma and depth to the screen.

The series is already generating significant buzz. In a recent interview with Tudum, producer Oppenheimer praised the cast, saying, “You can count on one hand the actors and actresses in history who bring this level of gravitas, pedigree, and talent to their work.”

Zero Day marks Netflix’s latest endeavor to captivate global audiences with a story of high-stakes power plays and unexpected twists. With its all-star cast and compelling storyline, it’s poised to become a landmark series in 2025.
