Drama in the Skies – Croatia Airlines Flight to Frankfurt Diverted to Zagreb

A Croatia Airlines flight from Pula to Frankfurt was forced to land at Zagreb airport on Tuesday afternoon due to a fault with the hydraulics. Eight fire engines were on hand on the runway in Zagreb as the plane made its diverted landing.
The drama occurred at 13:30 yesterday as the decision was made to divert the flight to Zagreb because of safely reasons. The incident caused flow-on delays with arrivals and departures on Tuesday afternoon at Zagreb airport. A Croatia Airlines statement said that at no stage were passengers safety in danger yesterday.
“After Airbus 319 took off during today’s international Croatia Airlines flight from Pula to Frankfurt (OU 4404) indications that their was a technical fault with the hydraulics system occurred. It was decided that the plane would be diverted to Zagreb as a precautionary measure. The safety of the 106 passengers and 6 crew on the flight were not in danger at any time, considering Croatia Airlines staff are trained for such situations,” said the statement. Passengers were flown to Frankfurt from Zagreb on another flight this afternoon.
