Croatian passport climbs to its highest world power ranking

The latest ranking of the world’s most powerful passports, published quarterly by the Henley Passport Index, has been released.
The Index is compiled by Henley & Partners, a London-based firm specialising in global citizenship and residency, using data provided by the International Air Transport Association (IATA).
The United Arab Emirates, whose citizens enjoy visa-free or visa-on-arrival access to an impressive 180 destinations worldwide, tops the list.
Spain holds second place, with easy access to 179 destinations.
The third spot is shared by 14 countries, whose citizens have visa-free or visa-on-arrival access to 178 destinations.
These countries are Finland, France, Germany, Belgium, Italy, Denmark, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Austria, Portugal, Norway, Switzerland, Greece, and Ireland.
Croatia’s passport has achieved its best ranking ever, sharing 5th place with Estonia, South Korea, Slovakia, and the Czech Republic.
Croatian citizens enjoy visa-free or visa-on-arrival access to 176 destinations. According to the Henley Passport Index, Croatia was ranked 15th last year, 17th in 2022, and 18th in 2021.
