The American musician, former member of the Pixies, and leader of The Breeders is set to present her acclaimed debut solo album to the Croatian audience for the very first time at INmusic Festival #17.

Kim Deal is considered one of the most influential musicians of our time. Originally the bassist and co-vocalist of the Pixies – a driving force behind the popularisation of alternative rock in the early 1990s – she also fronts the equally celebrated band The Breeders.

Their 1993 album, Last Splash, achieved significant commercial success. Alongside a string of notable collaborations and projects, Kim Deal spent over a decade crafting her first solo studio album.

Released in late November 2024, Nobody Loves You More features songs that trace their origins back to Deal’s last tour with the Pixies in 2011.

They reflect musical partnerships formed since then, as well as inspirations drawn from friends’ weddings, family holidays, the sombre days of pandemic lockdowns, brushes with mortality, and personal reflections on the concept of failure.

The majority of the album was recorded at Chicago’s Electrical Audio studio with the late producer Steve Albini. It showcases a host of familiar collaborators, including fellow Breeders members Kelley Deal, Mando Diaz, Jim Macpherson, and Britt Walford, alongside Raymond McGinley of Teenage Fanclub, Jack Lawrence of The Raconteurs, and Fay Milton and Ayse Hassan of Savages, among others.

In her solo debut, Kim Deal seamlessly combines life’s hard-won wisdom and artistic maturity with musical innovation and creative freedom. The result not only honours her remarkable contribution to music history but also opens an exciting new chapter in her career.

Kim Deal joins the impressive line-up at INmusic Festival #17, which already includes major acts such as Kings of Leon, Massive Attack, Air, Fontaines D.C., Michael Kiwanuka, St. Vincent, Yard Act, and Seun Kuti & Egypt 80.
