State-owned Croatian shipping company Jadrolinija will connect Bar and Bari in 2025, the company announced in a statement today.

Jadrolinija has signed an agreement with Barska Plovidba to re-establish a connection between the Montenegrin port of Bar and the Italian port of Bari in 2025, as part of the international route Dubrovnik – Bari.

As in previous years, the international Bar – Bari route will be operated in partnership with Barska Plovidba, which will act as the port agent and handle ticket sales for Jadrolinija’s international services.

This international route will be serviced by the flagship of Jadrolinija’s fleet, the vessel Dalmacija, which joined the fleet in spring 2024.

The addition of Dalmacija has elevated the Dubrovnik – Bari route to a new standard of service.

As the largest ship in Jadrolinija’s history, Dalmacija has created the conditions for an expanded sailing schedule and the reinstatement of the Bar connection.

Notably, Jadrolinija last operated the Bar – Bari route in 2022, during which it consistently delivered strong results and demonstrated significant tourism potential—a potential that can now continue to grow with the arrival of Dalmacija in the fleet.

By reintroducing the Bar – Bari route, Jadrolinija reaffirms its commitment to developing international lines and providing high-quality services to passengers in the Adriatic region.
