ZAGREB, 11 Jan (Hina) – HaHaHouse opened in Zagreb’s Gajeva Street on Friday, on the occasion of International Laughter Day, and it is the first museum in the world dedicated exclusively to laughter, making visitors laugh and spreading positivity even when times are not so good.
Starting in January, considered the most depressing month of the year, the Museum of Laughter decided to cheer up visitors with more than 40 different installations and exhibits that combine humour, art, and technology.
Located in a courtyard that had been abandoned for ten years, it spans two floors and 450 square metres. The project was designed according to the concept of founder Andreja Golubić, in collaboration with domestic and foreign designers, architects, artists, and experts.
The idea for the Museum came three years ago, during the pandemic, when people were starting to feel bad, which was sad to watch, she said, adding that she likes to make people feel better.
Golubić expects the Museum to be visited by people aged 3 to 103.
The Museum features a series of installations and interactive displays, through which visitors are guided by the sarcastic animated character Mr. H., a critic of the modern society in which people take themselves too seriously.
