With great public interest surrounding the musical performances at the inauguration of President Zoran Milanović, set to take place on 18 February at the Office of the President of the Republic of Croatia, the full list of performers and songs has been officially announced.
Klapa Trogir will perform Bodulska balada, Sinjska Klapa will sing Cetina, Chriztel Renae Aceveda will present Dej mi Bože oči sokolove, while the renowned LADO Ensemble will perform excerpts from Slavonska kraljica.
As previously announced, Klapa HRM “Sveti Juraj” will perform only the Croatian national anthem, Lijepa naša Domovino.
Klapa Trogir, founded in 1964, is one of the most prominent and award-winning Dalmatian klapa groups, dedicated to preserving traditional a cappella singing.
The group consists of first tenor Ivo Coce, second tenors Ivo Oštrić, Marin Buble, and Marko Vuletić, baritones Dragan Županović and Tomislav Labor, and bass singers Antun Zajc, Jozo Miše, and Tomislav Jakus. The artistic director is Dr. Jelena Buble. Bodulska balada features music by Ivica Bašić, lyrics by Stjepan Benzon, and an arrangement by Nikola Buble.
Sinjska Klapa, although newly established in 2024, is composed of experienced singers who were previously part of Klapa Sinj.
Representing the heart of the Dalmatian hinterland, the group features first tenor Stipe Breko, second tenors Ivo Breko and Frano Filipović Grčić, baritones Mario Đidara and Dinko Šarić, and bass singers Mladen Širinić, Jerko Župić, and Dario Sablić. The song Cetina was composed by Dražen Žanko.
Chriztel Renae Aceveda is a seventh-grade student at Sveti Martin na Muri Primary School. Originally from the Philippines, she moved to Croatia four years ago and quickly mastered the Croatian language.
Alongside her primary education, she studies solo singing at the Varaždin Music School under the guidance of Blanka Tkalčić.
She first gained recognition through her performances of traditional Croatian music and won over audiences and experts alike in Supertalent 2023. She will sing the traditional Međimurje folk song Dej mi Bože oči sokolove.
LADO Ensemble, Croatia’s national professional folklore ensemble, has been preserving and celebrating the country’s rich musical and dance heritage since 1949.
Consisting of 38 exceptional dancers who are also accomplished vocalists, LADO is accompanied by an orchestra of 14 musicians playing around 80 traditional and classical instruments.
Under the artistic direction of Zrinka Posavec, the ensemble will present excerpts from Slavonska kraljica, a choreography by Zvonimir Ljevaković.
