Serbian football club FK Vojvodina’s Croatian goal keeper Matej Delač has won the hearts of the club’s fans after he paid 6,000 EUR to help a fan have a life-saving operation.
FK Vojvodina’s “Firm 89” supporters club started a fund-raising mission to help Stojan Kolarov, who suffers from a rare illness which stops him from growing, have an operation in Paris. With the group 6,000 EUR short, Delač (21), who is on loan at the Serbian club from English side Chelsea F.C, stepped up and said he would pay whatever was necessary still to get Stojan to Paris, reports daily Jutarnji list.
