The popular Croatian tourist attraction – Plitvice Lakes – has welcomed its one millionth visitor this year – 15 days earlier than when it achieved the milestone last year.
The millionth visitor was Nataša Savić from Belgrade, who visited the UNESCO World Heritage registered lakes with friend Luka Petrović from Osijek. It was the pair’s first visit to Plitvice Lakes, and Nataša was gifted a 7-day all expenses paid trip for two to Plitvice Lakes, and one year free entrance to the lakes for two persons for being the lucky millionth tourist. Plitvice Lakes, founded in 1949 in central Croatia, is the oldest national park in Southeast Europe and the largest national park in Croatia.
