Construction is set to start on a 30 million euro skyscraper project this autumn on the Croatian capital Zagreb’s main street Ilica. The new 17 story tall glass office building, situated at 212-214 Ilica, will also be home to a public swimming pool and kindergarten, reports daily Vecernji list.
The new building is forecasted to be completed by 2016. “Beacuse it is a large project, we are now in negotiations with the banks and potential partners so it is realistic that the complex will be finished by 2016,” said investor Zvonimir Škegro, who says he has dreamt of this project in the heart of downtown Zagreb since 1983.
“The plan is to deck out the interior office space with symbols of Croatian achievements and uniqueness. Some rooms would symbolize our islands, Slavonia, Zagorje, Dalmatia, with attention also dedicated to inventors like Nikola Tesla,” announced Škegro.
Along with a public swimming pool, the complexes will also have a wellness-centre, library, kindergarten and music hall.
