Croatia ‘B’ Arrive in South Korea Ahead of Tuesday’s Friendly

A second-string Croatia side has arrived in the South Korean capital Seoul ahead of its friendly with South Korea on Tuesday night.
Missing 11 players from the squad who were in Belgrade on Friday for the World Cup qualifier against Serbia, including goal-scorer Mario Mandzukic, Luka Modric, Joe Simunic, Vedran Corluka and Ivica Olic, under pressure coach Igor Stimac will look to local-based youngsters to do the job which the first-team done against the Koreans back in February at Craven Cottage in London, when they thumped them 4-0. Stimac will also be without Ante Rebric and Mateo Kovacic either, as they have been released to play for the U-21 side in the Ukraine.
Stimac has been under the microscope in the press since Friday’s 1-1 draw with Serbia, with many critics calling the inexperienced Stimac ‘clueless’. A poll in the leading local daily saw only 3% of fans saying they still had faith in the former Derby County captain. The match kicks off tomorrow night at the Seoul World Cup Stadium at 1:00pm Croatian time. (pic: HNS)
