Croatian Tobacco Company Opens Factory in Iran

Croatia’s leading manufacturer of cigarettes, TDR (Tobacco Factory Rovinj), which operates under the Adris Group, has opened a factory in Iran as it continues its expansion into south-west Asia, Adris announced on Monday.
TDR’s new factory, which open on Monday, is located in the provincial capital of Mazandaran Sari and is built through a partnership the Croatians negotiated with Iran’s leading cigarette manufacturer Iranian Tobacco Company. TDR’s investment in Iran is reportedly worth around 30 million euros, with the new factory able to manufacture 6 billion cigarettes a year.
TDR says that he has transferred its technology, knowledge, know-how and experience in tobacco processing from Croatian fields to Iran. Besides the region, TDR also exports their products to Germany, Spain, Czech Republic, Italy, Austria, UAE, Bulgaria and Russia. TDR manufacture popular brands such as Ronhill, Walter Wolf and York cigarettes.
