Croatia has beaten South Korea 2-1 in a friendly match in Jeonju on Tuesday. Two goals in a six-minute spell midway through the second half was enough to see Igor Štimac’s side complete the double over South Korea after beating them in London 4-0 in February.
Goals from the head of Dynamo Kyiv defender Domagoj Vida, and Dnipro’s Nikola Kalinić sealed victory for Croatia, in a match in which the hosts had the better of the chances. After an 18-hour trip from Europe to Jeonju, Croatia at stages looked tired and were exposed by the quick Koreans, who managed to score a consolation goal seconds before the final whistle. Only Darijo Srna, Eduardo da Silva and Ivan Rakitić started the match from the side that played Serbia in Belgrade on Friday night.
Croatia: Krešić (Ježina) – Vida, Lovren, Bubnjić – Srna, Rakitić, Ademi, Perišić (Tomasov), Milić (Pivarić)- Eduardo (Benko), Kalinić (Halilović).
