Coca-Cola Celebrates 45th Anniversary in Croatia

Croatia’s Minister of Agriculture Tihomir Jakovina and Ivan Vrdoljak, the nation’s Economy Minister, paid a visit to the Coca-Cola bottling plant in the capital Zagreb yesterday to congratulate the company on its 45th anniversary of operations in Croatia.
Coca-Cola HBC Croatia begun bottling the famous soft drink in Croatia in 1968 and now boasts more than 554 workers in Croatia. According to a financial study released on the anniversary, Coca-Cola Croatia’s contribution to the economy was 2.1 billion kuna (270 million EUR). Last year the company contributed 125 million kuna (17 million EUR) into the state budget. Out of every 1 kuna spent on a Coca-Cola product, 90 lipa (cents) stays within the local economy. Coca-Cola was first introduced in the USA in 1886.
