Tourists visiting Croatia from next summer will have another attraction on offer when Aquapark Istralandia opens its doors next June.
Construction is in full swing for the 4,400 square-metre water park, which is located in Brtonigla in the north-western part of Istria, and on Wednesday Croatia’s Minister of Tourism Darko Lorencin paid the site a visit. The 10 million euro aquapark is expected to create more than 80 new jobs in the area, and will feature a number of attractions such as, toboggans, hydro massage pools, cafes and water castles for kids. It will be the first open air water park of its type in Croatia.
Speaking from the construction site, Lorencin said that he is extremely happy that a project of this magnitude and investment is going to plan and when complete will add to Croatia’s offerings as a tourist destination.
