Croatia Has a New World Champion

Croatia has another world champion. Tina Mihelic (24) has won gold at the Laser Radial World Championship in Rizhao City, China.
Mihelic recorded two race victories throughout the 12 race series that included six qualifying races and six final series races to win the first ever senior medal in Croatian sailing history. Finland’s Tuula Tenkanen was in second place with American Paige Railey in third Both Tenkanen and Railey notched up three race victories a piece but Mihelic was too good as she amassed a points total of 39, four ahead of Tenkanen.
