Japanese Origami Workshop in the Heart of Zagreb

This Friday and Saturday (18-19 October), the Embassy of Japan in Zagreb and the Croatian Origami Society have organised an autumn origami workshop at the Gallery Ulrich on Ilica 40 in the capital Zagreb.
The workshops will run from 16:00 to 19:30 on Friday (18 October) and from 10:00 to 12:30 tomorrow (Saturday 19 October). Croatian origami experts Sanja Srbljinović Čuček and Dragutin Gerić will show guests on Friday how to make decorative paper origami boxes, and models from the most famous Japanese origami master Akira Yoshizawa. Srbljinović Čuček launched the first Croatian origami art exhibition with international origami masters in Krapina in 2008 and has participated in numerous presentations of Japanese culture in Croatia, whilst Gerić one of the founders of the Croatian Origami Society (HOD) and the author of the first Croatian origami book “Origami – the art of paper-folding” (Zagreb 1986).
