The largest integrated solar plant in Croatia officially went into operation on Monday in Trnovec Bartolovečki, located near Varaždin in northern Croatia.
The investor of Croatia’s largest solar plant, which has a total power capacity of 999 kilowatts (kW), is Varaždin-based rubber company Gumiimpex-GRP. Along with this new plant, in September this year Gumiimpex-GRP had already commissioned two separate plants located in Varazdin, The newest and largest plant is built on roof of its manufacturing factory.
All electricity produced by the solar plant will be delivered up to the distribution network at a reduced rate because the investor has acquired the status of a privileged producer of energy. The new plant has an expected annual production of 1,113 megawatt-hours (MWh) of environmentally clean electricity.
