Best Beaches, Hotels, Towns In Croatia Revealed at Tourism Awards

As Croatia’s most successful tourist season in history winds down, it was time for the Croatian Tourist Board to hand out its annual awards for the best beaches, hotels, travel agents, towns and best overall tourist town in Croatia.

The Croatian Tourist Board selected one coastal and one continental town in Croatia for the prestigious Blue Flower award for the nicest presentation and best overall tourist offerings, with Dubrovnik and Varazdin coming out tops. The city of Split won the best tourist destination on the Adriatic award.

The nicest presented beach went to Zlatni Rat beach on the island of Brac, whilst the best hotel for 2012 went to Hotel Excelsior in Dubrovnik. The best travel agent award went to Nikolina Misir from Gulliver Travel in Dubrovnik.
