The European Parliament have purchased the works of 8 Croatian artists for its own art collection…
Ivan Kožarić, Josip Vaništa, Nives Kavurić Kurtović, Đuro Seder, Boris Bućan, Sanja Iveković, Ivana Franke and Zlatan Vehabović are the Croatian artists whose works will grace the collection of the European Parliament in Brussels.
Although the price which the EU paid for the art has not been revealed, daily Jutarnji list reports that the pieces purchased will be presented in December in Zagreb, before being exhibited in the European Parliament in Brussels in January. Once the exhibition ends then the art work will be put up around the EU headquarters in Brussels and Strasbourg.
According to European Parliamentary officials, the artists selected are the best currently going around in Croatia in the field of contemporary art.
