Croatia’s largest privately owned company, Agrokor, which has the nation’s largest supermarket chain Konzum in its portfolio, has shown its support for Niko Kovač’s World Cup bound team by signing a lucrative sponsorship deal with the Croatian FA on Monday…
Croatian FA President Davor Šuker and Agrokor boss Ivica Todorić put pen to paper at Agrokor’s headquarters on Monday, extending what has already been a long and successful relationship.
“Supporting sport is an important segment of the social responsibility of Agrokor. Our sportspeople with their examples and results are role models for the younger generation and that is why they deserve our support,” said Todorić, before stressing how important Croatian sports are for the nation’s image in the world.
“Last week I was in London where I met the Queen with around 200 of the world’s most successful business people. They were all amazed how Croatia can produce such talented sportspeople. Reaching the finals in Brazil is a huge thing for Croatia,” said the Agrokor owner, whose brands include Jana water, Ledo ice cream, and PIK meats.
