On Thursday Šimunić’s Germany-based lawyer Davor Prtenjača began an online petition carrying the slogan “With Josip at the World Cup in Brazil 2014!!. Prtenjača, who is appealing FIFA’s 10-match ban on behalf of the experienced defender, wants people to sign up to show their support and after the first day online had already gathered close to 10,000 supporters.
