After five months Norwegian seismic imaging services company Spectrum Geo2 has completed 2D seismic surveys of oil and gas reserves along 15,000 kilometres of Croatia’s Adriatic sea, reports Dnevnik.hr…
“The data shows promising hydrocarbon accumulations in the geological structures of the Adriatic. Based on the data obtained in the early stages of the project , we can now conclude that there is significant potential for finding undiscovered oil and gas reserves along the side of the Croatian part of the Adriatic”, said Economy Minister Ivan Vrdoljak, who announced that a public tender for the concession to explore Croatia’s coast will be published in the second half of 2014.
In February a data room of all results from the seismic imaging will be made available to all interested parties.
