Snow Closes School on Croatia’s Coast

It was not just continental Croatia that got a covering of snow on Tuesday, with the Dalmatian coast also getting its share…
Snowfall throughout the day and evening has forced schools to shut their doors in the Dalmatian town of Šibenik on Wednesday. Primary and Secondary schools shut after the school’s authorities decided that the snow and resulting ice on the roads was too dangerous for the kids. Some parents obviously did not get the memo with a handful of kids showing up to school this morning only to be sent back home.
Snow also fell along the coast in Pelješac, Zadar and on the island of Brac on Tuesday with forecasters predicting more for the country later in the week.
