PM Talks EU Realities and Expectations for Croatia in London [AUDIO]

With unemployment rates and debts at record levels, strikes going on all over the country as Labour unions grow restless with new policies and laws, and more and more citizens living below the poverty line, Croatia’s Prime Minister Zoran Milanović has addressed the London School of Economics in english, where he talked about EU membership realities and expectations for Croatia, which has been a member state since July 2013.
“We have enjoyed the status of an upper income country for the last 45 years. I think we will be better off in 5 years time. I am optimistic,” said Milanović, adding that addressing youth unemployment is an issue his government needs to take seriously, with around 50% of youth between 15-25 jobless.
