Barcelona Representatives in Zagreb to Negotiate Halilović Deal

It looks as if a deal could be imminent in the ‘where will he go’ case of Dinamo Zagreb’s talented teenage star Alen Halilović…
Media reports on Thursday say that Barcelona’s Director of Sport Andoni Zubizarreta arrived in the Croatian capital Zagreb late last night to finalise a deal for the 17-year-old. Zubizarreta, who was a former Spanish international goal keeper, will meet with Dinamo boss Zdravko Mamić today.
Halilović, who is the youngest player to debut for the Croatian national team, has been the target of many European clubs, with Tottenham Hotspur from London the favourites at one stage to get his signature. Halilović was at his best last night, scoring twice to help his side to a 2-2 draw away to Rijeka, but the left-footed maestro was not giving much away about a pending move to the Catalonian giants.
“Barcelona? You will find out in time,” said Halilović, who made his way back to Zagreb last night after the match.
“Here also is a written offer from FC Barcelona for 15 million euros, depending on Alen’s appearances, which we refused, and in the last six months, Zoran (Mamić -Dinamo’s coach) has been negotiating with Bayern and Inter about Alen,” Mamić was quoted as saying before Christmas.
