Over 30% in Croatia Have Broadband Internet Access

The number of Croatians accessing the internet by mobile phone continues to grow, according to statistics from the nation’s local regulator…
Over the last 12 months, the number of people using their mobile phones to access the internet grew by more than 20%. Mobile data traffic as a result also grew significantly in 2013, with almost double the amount of data traffic compared to 2012. It was not just more Croatians using mobile phones to access the internet in 2013, as around 130,000 new broadband connections were also established. Broadband internet penetration is now more than 31% of the total population.
Pay-TV services, which are part of broadband internet packages, are also proving popular in Croatia, with more than 60% of broadband users opting to go with the pay-tv packages offered by telcos.
