More than 600 Croats have come together in the Austrian capital Vienna on Saturday night for the popular annual Croatian Ball, which has turned into somewhat of a tradition…
Organised by the Austrian-Croatian Society for Culture and Sport, the ball, which brings Croatians living in Austria together, is now in its 23rd year. This year’s Croatian Ball took place at the Arcotel Wimberger hotel in Vienna and was attended by a number of dignitaries from Croatia and Austria, including Zagreb’s Mayor Milan Bandić.
“The ball connects Zagreb with Vienna, with which both Zagreb and Croatia have very close and friendly relations,” Mayor Bandic said. The ball is held under the auspices of Zagreb and Vienna, the Croatian Embassy to Austria, and the Croatian Office for Croats outside Croatia. (pic: HIH)
